There are loads of ways to get involved with READ and we love hearing from schools that are interested in what we do! If you would like to find out more about our Young Leaders Project for sixth formers, please click here.  For all other age groups and interests, please read on...

1) Donate books

The most useful and relevant books for East Africa are Key Stage 3, GCSE and A Level, as well as some primary and university level books. Any books that are not suitable for East Africa we sell online to generate much needed funding to pay for se

nding those that are relevant.  We will do our best to extend the life of any book and recycling is always a last resort.  We never landfill.

We can arrange a pick up for all large donations (above 500 books) and will be running a National Donation Day scheme across our network of Big Yellow Storage sites. Click here for more information.

2) Receive an assembly Presentation
We would love to come and give an assembly presentation to your KS3, 4 and 5students to tell them why there is a need for books in East Africa and how they can help out.

Please click here to send an email request.

3) Fundraise
It costs READ just 75p to send one book to Tanzania so why not host a fundraising event and see how many books you can send!  From cake sales and book swaps, to talent shows and sponsored hops, there are loads of ways to raise money for a good cause.  Simply email us
here to let us know what you are doing!  We can also provide sponsorship forms, posters and fundraising ideas - just add this request to your email.
