Feedback

Here is a selection of some of the fantastic schools that have supported READ so far, along with the comments and feedback from the teachers and volunteers that have been involved with our Think Global presentations:

Alcester High School, Warwickshire

We want to say a massive thank you to the staff and students at Alcester High School.  They have been receiving Think Global workshops for 3 years now and have made repeated textbook donations to schools in the Mtwara region of Tanzania, benefitting thousands of students, as well as promoting active global citizenship in their school.

Norwood School, London

Norwood School have been great supporters of READ over the last 2 years.  They have received Think Global workshops, donated textbooks and run a book drive.  Their books have been sent to the Tabora region of Tanzania, to be used in the day to day education of hundreds of students.  We look forward to working with them again soon!

King John High School,  Essex

Congratulations to King John's High School who raise a massive £1346 for READ!  Their Silly Socks Day was a huge success and they have raised enough money to send 2692 books to East Africa!  This could supply over 6 schools with textbooks, improving access to education and unlocking student's potential - amazing work.

The Marches School, Shropshire

We're delighted that the Marches School enjoyed the Think Global workshop they received in February 2010.  They are holding a book drive to collect more books for READ, pushing us closer to our target of sending 300,000 books to East Africa in Summer 2010.  Keep up the good work!
