Useful advice

- Volunteer!  It will help you greatly in getting a job with a charity and a career in the Third Sector. Our volunteers gain so many skills from fundraising to project management.
- Do an internship!  Use the links above to find an internship which will help you develop vital skills and experience and make that difference to your CV. 
- Create a winning CV! Some tips - there is no single "correct" way to write and present a CV but the following general rules apply:

• It is targeted on the specific job or career area for which you are applying and brings out the relevant skills you have to offer
• It is carefully and clearly laid out: logically ordered, easy to read and not cramped
• It is informative but concise
• It is accurate in content, spelling and grammar
• No more than 2 sides of A4!
