Better World Books are an innovative, socially and environmentally responsible bookseller. Founded in 2003 by three young graduates in the USA, it’s a social venture that collects unwanted books and does good things with them. Mostly, they are sold online in support of educational/literacy charities – such as READ International. Those that can’t be sold are re-homed or recycled.
Next August, we plan to send our largest ever shipment of 315,000 books. Reaching this goal is a big challenge, but an exciting one – and working with Better World Books will help us get there. Together we hope to raise some serious money and get even more books out to where they are needed.
Aside from increasing the number and type of books we collect and direct fundraising, working with BWB will also allow us to raise READ International’s profile in new circles and on new campuses - they’ll help us access even more books. See why we’re excited?
