280,000 books on their way!

This week we were delighted to wave over 280,000 textbooks on their way to Tanzania and Uganda.

The send off was thanks to a culmination of hard work and determination from all our staff, supporters and of course our hundreds of student volunteers who sorted through the books collected since September 2009, matched them to the Tanzanian or Ugandan syllabus and boxed them up, ready to be redistributed to over 290 schools this August.

We have now sent over 844,000 textbooks to East Africa since we started in 2005.
